"KYO-TO-TO" is a brand name that fuses KYOTO and TOKYO, the traditional and contemporary centers of Japan. DUOMO, a workshop in Kyoto undertakes to embroider and 3Min. Graphic Associates based in Tokyo undertakes to do graphic design. KYO-TO-TO is an embroidery brand, departs from KYOTO via TOKYO, to the WORLD.

京東都コレクションは、手ぬぐい全11柄と手ぬぐい1本の長さ=3尺を「1」という基本単位とし、掛けたり割ったりすることで出来上がる小物たち。
花鳥風月草虫ケモノーー。 古来より、四季の移ろい、天変地異から小さき虫に至るまで、自然界の有象無象あらゆるものを愛でてきた、日本人の世界観を、墨一色で表現しました。

The first collection is 11 patterns Tenugui (Japanese Traditional handkerchief). The beauties of nature, insects and beasts. Japanese have reverenced the Universe, such as the cycle of the seasons, convulsion of nature and even small insects from old time. That Japanese outlook on the world is expressed with one color of SUMI (black ink).

ベースとなる背景は「かちん染め」。膠（にかわ）でといた墨を使う、京友禅の染色技術として、400年の歴史を持ちます。墨のにじみやグラデーション、１枚1枚はけで丁寧に刷り上げられた、京友禅の職人さんの手業をお楽しみください。
こうしてできあがった、やわらかで幽玄な世界の上に綴られた、真っ赤な刺繍。 刺繍のテーマは「日本語」です。 赤い糸でつながった、かっちりとした漢字達は、いまにも動き出しそう…そんな形態を現す表意文字である漢字の特徴を生かしました。
対する、なめらかな曲線でつながるひらがなは、音をあらわす音節文字。ぷとぷと、ほろほろ、くわ〜いなど、普段聞き慣れないけど、なんとなく心地のよい音は、むかしから日本人に親しまれてきたオノマトペ（擬音語・擬態語）です。

The pattern is using "KACHIN ZOME". "KACHIN ZOME" is a dyeing technique of Kyoto Yuzen using SUMI which dissolved with glia (glue) and it has 400 years history. Please enjoy the craftsmen handwork who dye one by one carefully and the gradation color of SUMI.
The ideograph, Kanji connected by the red thread with each other seem to begin to move at any moment.
The Hiragana (Japanese ABC) connected by fluent curve is syllabary. Though PUTO-PUTO, HORO-HORO and KUWAAI are usually unfamiliar words, the sounds of these words are onomatopoeia which has been familiar to Japanese from old days.
